Ridgecroft ladies roll

TERRA CEIA – Miller Bryant racked up 18 points to lead Ridgecroft to victory here last Friday.

The Lady Rams defeated Terra Ceia Christian School 56-31 in a Tarheel Independent Conference game to improve to 10-3 overall and 5-1 in the league.

Ridgecroft jumped out to a 15-2 lead in the first quarter and never looked back. The Lady Rams led 28-9 at the intermission and 41-16 after three quarters.

In addition to Bryant’s 18, the Lady Rams got 10 points from Hennie Larabee and another nine from Brice Harrison.

Lauren Colson and Sara Hackney contributed eight points each while Nikki Smith had three.

“We had great teamwork tonight,” Ridgecroft Head Coach Susan Oliver said.

In jayvee action, the Lady Rams fell 28-26 despite a 16-point effort from Mary-joe Harrell.

The teams were tied at 6-all after one quarter before the Lady Knights edged ahead 14-10 at halftime.

Ridgecroft scored 12 points in the third quarter to take a 22-20 lead, but Terra Ceia won the fourth quarter 8-4 to secure the win.

Emily Grace had eight points for Ridgecroft while Katie Blowe and Erin Cooke had one point each.

Rebecca Harrison led Terra Ceia with nine and Taylor Neuman had eight.

The loss dropped the Lady Rams to 6-3 overall and 3-2 in the TIC.
