Ridgecroft’s junior varsity girls suffered a pair of setbacks recently.

The Lady Rams dropped a 24-15 decision to Terra Ciea Christian School Thursday and then fell to Faith Christian School 34-19 Monday.

In Thursday’s outing, the Knights led 5-4 after one quarter, but Ridgecroft came back to take a 9-8 advantage by the intermission.

The game was tied at 13-all heading into the fourth quarter, but Terra Ceia pulled away with an 11-point period to claim the Tarheel Independent Conference win.

Caroline Edwards and Kathryn Outlaw led Ridgecroft with four points each while Emily Grace had three. Mackenzie Brown and Ruthie Daniels each scored two points.

Whitney Chesson led Terra Ceia with eight points.

On Monday, Faith led 8-6 after one quarter and never looked back.

Grace and Daniels paced Ridgecroft with six points each while Outlaw had four and Edwards had three.

Kelsie Carrol led Faith with 10 points.

Ridgecroft dropped to 4-3 overall with the two losses. They are 1-1 in the Tarheel Independent Conference.
