AHOSKIE – The Ahoskie Police are investigating an attempted armed robbery at the Hess Wilco located at 520 W. Main Street.

The crime occurred happened about 10:56 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 18.  It was at that time where a black male walked into the store with a dark in color handgun and demanded money. When the suspect was unable to get the money he fled on foot.  No one was injured in the incident.

The suspect is described as 5’5” – 5’6” wearing dark clothing and a dark in color cloth covering his face.
