AHOSKIE – Three suspects, one armed with a weapon, robbed an employee of Domino’s Pizza just after closing time here early Saturday morning.

Ahoskie Police Chief Troy Fitzhugh said the employee, who was not injured, was approached by three black males as he exited the store’s side door on Catherine Street shortly after 2 a.m.

The suspects demanded the bank deposit bag carried by the employee. Fitzhugh said after taking the bag, the trio fled on foot east along a back alley that runs behind the Main Street businesses.

“One of the suspects was carrying what was described as a long gun,” Fitzhugh said.

Another Domino’s employee had exited the store and was waiting for their co-worker in a vehicle, Fitzhugh said.

Two of the suspects were described as approximately 5’-9” and both wearing black shirts with their faces covered. The other suspect, the one carrying the weapon, was approximately 6’ tall wearing a red t-shirt, red cap and a red bandana covering his face.

Fitzhugh said anyone with information concerning the suspects is asked to contact Ahoskie Police Detective Sgt. Stephen White at 332-5011.
