AHOSKIE – A few seats remain for the Ahoskie Chamber of Commerce’s annual Membership Banquet.

Dan Joyner, Executive Vice President of the Chamber, said Friday morning that the deadline for reserving a seat for the Nov. 3 event is 5 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 25.

“We do not necessarily need payment for a banquet ticket on Oct. 25; what we’re looking for is confirmation that an individual or group wants to attend the event,” Joyner said. “The advance notice is needed in order for us to have an accurate head count which is vital in preparing for the meal to be served that night.”

Tickets are priced at $20 each.

Joyner stressed that no tickets will be sold at the door on Nov. 3.

Jim Perdue will be the keynote speaker at this 7 p.m. event on Thursday, Nov. 3 at the Ahoskie Inn. A social hour begins at 6 p.m. He oversees Perdue Farms and Perdue AgriBusiness.

Perdue is the third largest poultry company in the United States.  Perdue Farms has a large presence in eastern North Carolina and is one of the most stable employers in the Roanoke Chowan area.  They continue to be an outstanding corporate citizen through their support of local non-profits, civic groups and volunteer fire departments.

Ahoskie Chamber officials are also offering sponsorships for the annual banquet. There are three levels available – Gold Sponsorship is $250 which will include a reserved table with eight tickets, a banner at the banquet and recognition in the Banquet Program; Silver Sponsorship is $200 and includes a reserved table with eight tickets and recognition in the Banquet Program; and Bronze Sponsorship is $100 and includes four reserved seats and recognition in the Banquet Program.

The banquet will also feature a silent auction and a meal.
