AHOSKIE – Beechwood Country Club presents “The Memorial” – a four-man superball format golf tournament that will remember two longtime club members, the late Thomas Cherry and the late Sammy Brinkley.

Sponsored by Southern Bank, “The Memorial” is scheduled for a 1 p.m. tee time on Friday, Oct. 28.

Prizes will be awarded to the lowest scoring team in two flights.

The entry fee is $250 per team, which includes green fees, carts and six dinner tickets to a pig picking held following the tournament. The registration deadline is Wednesday, Oct. 26. To register or for more information, contact Dennis Everett at the Beechwood Pro Shop (332-2905).

For those who do not play golf, but would like to attend the dinner, tickets are available for $10 each at all Southern Bank locations. The dinner will also feature a cash bar and music from DJ Jay Jenkins. No personal coolers are allowed at the dinner.
