COMO – A bridge replacement project near here will close a local road to thru-traffic for nearly three months.

Beginning Monday, April 11, Ebo Road (SR 1308), located southeast of Como, will be closed as Atwell Construction works to construct a new bridge over Liverman Creek.

The bridge on Ebo Road is near its intersection with Parker’s Ferry Road (SR 1306).

Scott Emory, Resident Engineer with the North Carolina Department of Transportation, said the anticipated date for the road to reopen is Aug. 1.

Emergency response agencies in Hertford County have been notified of the closing.
