AHOSKIE – The public is invited to an event slated for Saturday, March 19 at Sliders, located inside the Ahoskie Inn (NC 561), that will pay tribute to the life of the late Brian Farrow.
The event is scheduled from 8 p.m. until 2 a.m. and will feature refreshments, a raffle, silent auction and live music. Admission is $8 per person; raffle tickets are priced at $1 each.
September 29, 2010 was the day of an unnatural tragedy for Richard and Judy Farrow of Jackson with the loss of their youngest son, Brian Keith Farrow. Brian was a loving and devoted son, brother, father and friend.
Brian was employed at Strickland Automotive as a certified Auto Mechanic, where he was able to obtain the award of ASE. Brian’s passion was racing. In his racing career, Brian won over 150 races. He had the passion, the drive and the knowledge, but his life was cut short. He is deeply missed by all that knew and loved him.
Saturday’s benefit concert features the band UNBROKEN. The night will start with some refreshments (finger foods and such) and a happy hour. While you wait for the concert to begin, event organizers will be holding a silent auction, featuring a variety of items from local vendors from Murfreesboro, Jackson, Ahoskie and Roanoke Rapids.
“We encourage you to come celebrate Brian’s life with us and enjoy some good entertainment. It’s going be a night of great fun and great friends,” stated Kelly Davis, one of the event’s organizers.
Davis said if individuals would like to donate items to the auction, please send a message on Face Book. (UN BRO KEN) or call her at 252-642-5532 or Deborah Farrow at (252) 209-4974.
All proceeds will go to the parents of Brian K. Farrow to help pay his final expenses.
