Alumni are invited to play basketball at Lawrence Academy next month.

The Lawrence Academy Booster Club is sponsoring an alumni basketball tournament. The event will become an annual tournament to raise money to upgrade the school’s athletic facilities.

Open to men and women of all ages, there will be three divisions: women only, men only and co-ed.

Each team must consist of at least one Lawrence Academy graduate or have a sponsor who is a graduate of the institution. All players must have attended Lawrence Academy at some time.

Any parents, past or present of Lawrence Academy are also eligible to participate.

There will be a limit of 10 players per team with all teams required to have at least six players.

Champions will be declared in all three divisions.

The event will be held Saturday, February 5 at the Daniels Gymnasium. There will be an entry fee of $200 per team.

Registration is open now until January 26.

The day will also feature BBQ dinners, basketball skill activities for children, children’s two-on-two games, a free throw shooting contest and a three-point contest.
