AHOSKIE – The Ahoskie Parks and Recreation Department is currently accepting applications for the 2010-2011 basketball league.

Signups will be held October 1-31.

All players must reach the age of five before December 31 and not turn more than 15 before March 31, 2011. All leagues will be “league ages” or that age attained prior to December 31.

Registration will be $10 for in-town resident and $15 for those outside of town. The uniform will be an additional $10.

If there are spaces available after the deadline, there will be an additional $5 late fee.

The program will run in evenings and on Saturday mornings beginning in November.

The coaches’ meeting will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday, November 11 at the Ahoskie Recreation Center located at 1103 West Main Street.

The basketball league can only be successful because of volunteers. For those interested in helping, call 332-2064.
