AHOSKIE – The Ahoskie Police are asking for the public’s assistance in helping to solve an armed robbery that occurred in the early morning hours of Thursday.

Two Domino Pizza employees had locked-up after the close of Wednesday’s business day and were exiting the store through a side door that faces Catherine Street.

“At that time, the employees were approached by three black males who demanded money,” said Ahoskie Police Major Jimmy Asbell.

Ahoskie Police Detective Sgt. Stephen White, who investigated the robbery, said one of the suspects was armed with a handgun.

All three suspects, said to be in their 20’s and all wearing dark clothing, were between 5’-8” and 6’ tall. They were last seen on foot heading towards Church Street.

“Any information in this case will be greatly appreciated,” Asbell said. “If there was anyone in the vicinity of Main Street and Catherine Street around 12 midnight and 12:04 a.m. on Thursday and saw something, please call us.”

Those with information can call the Ahoskie Police Department at 332-5011 and ask to speak with Sgt. White.
