MURFREESBORO, NC – Edith Jean Davis Warren, age 85, of Murfreesboro, NC passed away on Monday, August 20, 2018 after a battle with cancer.

Jean was born in Northampton County on June 5, 1933 to the late Ira Leroy and Dosia Jones Davis. She was married to the late Finton Travis Warren. Jean is survived by her sons, Donald Keith Warren (Cheryl), George Thomas Warren (Teresa); and daughter, Patricia Lynn Warren (Diane). She was predeceased by her eldest son, Gary Finton Warren. She was known to eleven loving grandchildren as “Ma”, and eight precious great grandchildren as “G.G”, each being her favorite. She cherished her sisters and her brothers as well as their spouses. To all the other family members, you were so loved and appreciated. Her gifts of friendship and encouragement will be missed.

A celebration of life funeral service will be held Friday, August 31 at 1:00 p.m. at Meherrin Baptist Church in Murfreesboro, NC. Burial will be in the church cemetery and visitation with family will follow in the church fellowship hall.
