Sarah Marie Chappell, 85, a native of Bertie County, died September 22, 2008. She was the widow of Maxie L. Chappell.
Mrs. Chappell was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church.
Survivors include two daughters, Charlotte Styron of Hertford and Beverly Chappell of Virginia Beach; a brother, McReady Castelloe; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildre.
A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday in Graham Funeral Home, 1112 Kempsville Road, Chesapeake, by the Rev. Dave Libengood. Burial will be at Riverside Memorial Park, Norfolk.
