James E. Jenkins, 72, of East Richard Street, Ahoskie died Sunday, December 28, 2008 at Roanoke-Chowan Hospital, Ahoskie.
A native of Northampton County, he was last employed by the Town of Aulander as a sanitation worker.
Survivors include a daughter, Linda Jordan of Ahoskie; sisters, Erma Jenkins and Ollie Jenkins, both of Woodland; and three grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 3 at the Wilder’s Funeral Home Chapel, Rich Square, with the Rev. Keith Urquhart officiating. Burial will be in the Wilder-Cherry Family Cemetery, Aulander.
