LASKER – Bright and beautiful skies greeted the runners participating in the annual Northampton County Chamber of Commerce 5K held here Sept. 30.

In the men’s division, Dillon Britt topped the field with a time of 20 minutes and 45 seconds. Robert Dudley (21:28) and Marty Gibson (26:15) placed second and third respectively.

On the women’s side, Kay Evans (22:47) was crowned as the champion. Roberta Gibson (29:02) and Teresa Jenkins (40:04) rounded out the top three women to cross the finish line.

In the under age 20 category, Mason Vann (28:51) and Emma Story (42:49) were the top male and female.

Ages 20-29 – Ray Horton (31:31) and Tiffany Slack (46:29);

Ages 30-39 – David Shepard (31:45) and Jamie Flythe (46:28);

Ages 40-49 – Wendy Morris (42:16);

Ages 50-59 – Ricky Morris (31:07) and Sandy Daughtry (45:52);

Ages 60-69 – Jackie Harrell (51:18); and

Ages 70-and-over – Sidney Joyner (42:17).
