Boykins, VA – Mrs. Frances Porter, age 82 of Boykins, VA, died Monday July 23, 2012.

Mrs. Porter was preceded in death by her husband, James “Buck” Porter; her daughter, Anita Warrick; her parents, Joseph Ferguson and Elizabeth Worrell Ferguson; her sisters, Lucille Gray, Paige English and Eunice Bryant; and two brothers, J.T. Ferguson and Woodrow Ferguson.

She is survived by her son, L.T. Ferguson and his wife, Carol, of Pendleton; a son-in-law, Bobby Warrick of Conway; a sister, Jean Sawyer of Milwaukee; five grandchildren, Jessica Warrick and her finace’ Mason Taylor, Trevor Warrick, Bryan Ferguson and his wife Dana, Stuart Ferguson and Heather Ferguson Ashley and her husband Matt; and one great grandchild, Cody Ferguson.

Graveside services will be held, Friday, July 27, 2012 at

11:00 a.m. at Hollywood Cemetery in Newsoms, VA with Rev. Kenneth Williams officiating.

The family will receive friends at Massey Funeral Home in Jackson on Thursday from 6:30 until 8:30 p.m.
