Edenton hosts Music & Water Festival

EDENTON – Looking for the perfect gift for dad? Perhaps you should consider taking a short drive to historic Edenton for a Father’s Day weekend event.

On Friday and Saturday (June 18-19), the town will play host to the 12th annual Music & Water Festival. From simple paddle rides in the beautiful Edenton Bay to the smooth sounds of Milton Bullock – “The Golden Platter” – the two days are packed full of fun activities at Colonial Park.

Listed below are the events scheduled during the two days:

Friday – Kick-Off

6:45-7:45 pm – Guided Sunset Paddle led by Wildlife Guide, Phil Patrick

Saturday

10 am – Guided Eco-Paddle led by Kitty Hawk Sports

10 am – 4 pm – Musical Talent on the Main Stage to include “The Golden Platter” Milton Bullock

10 am – 4 pm – Roving Artists

10 am – 4 pm – The Sylvan Learning Center Children’s area with crafts, games, the climbing wall, jump house and Clown “Joy Untold”

10 am – 4 pm – Commercial food, eco-educational vendors, outfitters and artisans

10 am – 4 pm – Destination Downtown Edenton will feature Sidewalk Sales where you can find a great gift or the perfect swimwear for this season

12 noon – 4 pm – Paddling Demonstrations led by the Eastern 4-H Center

1:30 pm – Paddling with the Periauger

2 pm – Sunfish Sailboat Races

4 pm – Edenton Harbor Splash Race when hundreds of colorful orbs splash into the harbor for an entry fee of $5 at 4 pm benefiting the Chowan Arts Council cultural arts programs

7 pm – Edenton Steamers plays Wilson @ Historic Hicks Field
