AHOSKIE – ECU Health Roanoke-Chowan Hospital recently awarded 13 area programs $95,000 in grant funds through its Community Benefit Grants Program.
The Roanoke-Chowan Hospital Office of Development presented checks to those agencies at its 18th annual Community Benefit Grants Program Awards Ceremony held July 27.
The organizations receiving the funds each provide programs and offer services that align with ECU Health’s mission to improve the health and well-being of eastern North Carolina.
“ECU Health Roanoke-Chowan Hospital is pleased to provide funds to these deserving organizations,” said Wendy Vann, ECU Health Roanoke-Chowan Hospital Development Specialist. “These organizations will reach many in our community through health education, wellness and prevention programs.”
“We are grateful for the wonderful work these organizations do to help community members get healthy and stay healthy,” stated Brian Harvill, Interim President of ECU Health Roanoke-Chowan Hospital and President of ECU Health Bertie and Chowan Hospitals. “Area residents of Hertford, Gates, and Northampton counties will benefit from the various programs and services offered by the grantees.”
Harvill also noted that ECU Health Roanoke-Chowan (and the other regional ECU Health hospitals) are most appreciative to the ECU Health Foundation for helping to administer the Community Benefit Grants program each year.
“We couldn’t provide these great programs without ECU Health’s support,” said Harvill.
