WINTON – The Winton Farmers Market enjoyed a good opening day on May 1.

Those looking for fresh produce, meats, and bakery items followed all the regulations regarding social distancing. Vendors are wearing masks and gloves and asking one person or one family member to come to their tables to shop.

Those vendors are packing all items in disposable plastic bags, and hand sanitizer dispensers are available for customers.

The Market, located at 205 South Main Street, is open each Friday from 3-6 p.m.

Vendors are Tony Sessoms of Cherry Farms with fresh produce, meat, peanuts, pecans, and eggs; and baked goods from Jean Martin’s “The Bakery Bus.”
