Roanoke-Chowan Publications is soliciting political profiles from candidates seeking public office at the local, state and national levels during November’s General Election.

The ballot in the Roanoke-Chowan area includes contested races for county commissioner, sheriff, clerk of court, school board, North Carolina State Senate, North Carolina House of Representatives, and the United States House of Representatives.

Candidates have the one-time opportunity to submit a personal profile along with the reasons why they are seeking office. Those choosing to submit a political profile are prohibited from offering negative comments about their opponent(s).

This free service must be limited to 600 words or less, and include a high-resolution color photo (as a stand-alone JPEG attachment if submitted by email).

The profile/photo submissions can be emailed to cal.bryant@r-cnews.com or dropped off at the office of the Roanoke-Chowan News-Herald, located at the intersection of Main Street and Catherine Creek Road in Ahoskie.
