ROCKY MOUNT, NC – David Lewis Smith of Rocky Mount, North Carolina passed away on September 4, 2018 at Wake Med Hospital. He was a retired Physician Assistant who worked for many public health practices.

He was preceded in death by both his parents, father Paul B. Smith Sr. and mother Frances Robinson.

He has survived by his son, David T. Smith, wife Patsy Vick Smith, and brother Paul Baker Smith Jr.

His hobbies were cutting up with his son, playing the keyboard and other various instruments, and lastly anything pertaining baseball. He collected baseball cards, played baseball while growing up, and talked about baseball even in his sleep.

On Thursday September 6, 2018 there will be a memorial service followed by a visitation service at Englewood United Methodist Church in Rocky Mount, North Carolina at 7 p.m. There will be another visitation service on Friday September 7, 2018 at 10 a.m. followed by the funeral service at 11 a.m. in Conway, North Carolina. The visitation/funeral service will be held at Conway United Methodist Church and Bridger’s Funeral Home will be in charge of arrangements.
