Mr. and Mrs. Keith Piland of Cofield announce the engagement of their daughter, Meagan Nicole Piland, to Charles West Overman, son of Mr. and Mrs. Russell Overman of Williamston. The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Jessie Hodges of Murfreesboro and the late Richard Hodges Sr. and the late Mr. and Mrs. Henry Piland who made their home in Winton. The groom-elect is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Ray West and Ruth Overman, all of Ahoskie, and the late Bill Overman. The couple will exchange wedding vows at 4 p.m. on Saturday, October 1 at Winton Baptist Church.
