COLERAIN – Ruth Pierce Williford, 79, of Lazy Hill Road, Colerain died Thursday, December 25, 2014 at Vidant Medical Center.

She was born November 11, 1935 in BertieCounty to the late DeFord and Nettie Harrell Pierce and was predeceased by her husband, Judge Robert Earl Williford.  Ruth was a member of Perrytown Assembly of God and retired as a Paralegal with the Pritchett, Cooke & Burch Law Firm.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, December 30, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at Perrytown Assembly of God by the Rev. David Baker and the Rev. Randy Pierce.  A private burial will follow in Hoggard Memorial Cemetery in Lewiston.

Survivors include her sisters, Nell Pierce Little and husband Ronnie of Merry Hill, Dianne Pierce of Greenville, and Annette Pierce Swearingen and husband Mike of Roper; nieces, Kim White, and Melanie Blevins and husband Dave; and great niece, Kaitlyn Blevins.
