Betty Sue Knight, 85, of the 100 block of Dunning Road, died Monday, August 11, 2008, at Roanoke Chowan Hospital, Ahoskie.

Miss Knight was born in Hertford County, a daughter of the late Luther Benjamin and Susie Baugham Knight.

She was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist church, a retired farmer and homemaker.

Survivors include her sister, Mable Knight of Aulander. She was predeceased by a brother, Lacey Knight and a sister, Lethia Knight.

A celebration of life service will be held on Thursday, August 14, 2008, at 2:00 p.m. at Garrett Funeral Home-Ashley Chapel, Ahoskie, with the Rev. J. N. Baggett officiating. Burial will follow in Aulander Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the home.
