Henry L. Summers, 68, a native of Rowan County, died October 4, 2008 at Roanoke-Chowan Hospital, Ahoskie.
Summers was a bus and truck driver for S&D Tours.
Survivors include his wife, Peggy S. Summers of Ahoskie; three sons,
Anthony Robinson of Laurel, MD, James Scott of Hickory and Aaron Scott of New Hampshire; one daughter, Sylvia Holmes of Statesville; three brothers, Raymond, Theodore and Charles Summers, all of Statesville; five sisters, Katie Brown of Roanoke, Va., Carolyn Dobbins, Deborah Walls, Glennis Morrison and Dieatta Slaughter, all of Statesville; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
A funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday at CS Brown Cultural Arts Center, Winton, by Rev. Barbara Martin. Cremation services will follow.
