John Albert Sandford, 83, a native of Hertford County, died October 19, 2008 at his residence.
A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday at Mt. Sinai Baptist Church, Como, by the Rev. Johnny Worrell. Burial will be in the family cemetery. A wake will be held from 6 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Hertford County Undertakers, Winton, is in charge.
Survivors include his wife, Hazel Sandford of Como; one son, John A. Sandford of Como; two daughters, Shirley Sandford and Eddie Deloatch, both of Murfreesboro; 11 grandchildren; and 45 great-grandchildren.
