Mrs. Odell Harrison Jenkins, 83, of Conway died Saturday, November 22, 2008 at Halifax Regional Medical Center in Roanoke Rapids.
Mrs. Jenkins was born July 26, 1925 in Bertie County, NC, the daughter of the late Dennie Harrison and Nellie Lassiter Harrison. She was also preceded in death by her husband, John R. Jenkins.
Survivors include her daughters, Sara J. Pope and her husband, J.C., and Sandra J. Edwards and her husband, Taylor, all of Conway; two granddaughters, Cheryl Pope Wheeler and her husband, Marvin, and Amy Pope Woodard and her husband, Brent; a grandson, Robbie Edwards; three great-grandchildren, Ryan Wheeler, Lauren Wheeler and Dylan Wheeler; her sisters, Bettie Davis of Conway and Mavis Askew of Ahoskie; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 25 at Galatia Baptist Church with the Rev. David Foster officiating. Burial will follow at Woodland Cemetery, Woodland.
The family will receive friends at the home of Sarah and J.C. Pope, 125 NCHS-East Road, Conway.
