Roy Earl Burden died Tuesday, December 30, 2008 in Landover, Maryland.
He was a member of Conoconary Baptist Church, Aulander.
Survivors include one son, Marvin Earl Burden of Washington, DC; three daughters, Vickie Bullock and Kiphine Burden, both of Maryland, and LaTyna Burden of Washington, DC; one sister, Nellie Burden Ward; four brothers, Melvin Burden, Albert Burden and Levy Burden, all of North Carolina, and Clarence Burden of New York; 14 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held on Sunday, Jan. 4 at Conoconary Baptist Church, Aulander, with the Rev. Milton Lee officiating. Burial was in the Burden Family Cemetery in Bertie County.
Reynolds Funeral Home, Ahoskie, was in charge of the arrangements.
