Sadie (Miss Sadie) Pauline Weaver Archer was born to the union of Mamie Mitchell Weaver and Hiram B. Weaver on August 19, 1919. She departed this life at Vidant Roanoke-Chowan Hospital in Ahoskie on Monday, September 3, 2012.

On February 22, 1936, she united in Holy matrimony to Linwood Rogers Archer and to this union eight children were born.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Linwood Rogers Archer; and her eldest son, Lenwood Edward Archer.

She leaves to cherish her memory, a daughter-in-law, Joyce Archer; four sons, James T. (Sylvia) of Omaha, NE, Roger A. (Paige) of Yorktown, VA, Horace E. (Paula) of Essex Junction, VT, and Larry A. (Barbara) of Winton; three daughters, Fay A. (Earl) Heath of Kinston, Maggie A. (Donald) Anthony of Roanoke Rapids, and Barbara A. (James) Manley of Winton; a sister-in-law, Mabelle Archer of Winton; 10 grandsons; 11 granddaughters; nine granddaughter-in-law; 10 grandsons-in-law; 32 great grandchildren; and five great-great grandchildren. She also leaves behind special family members, Shirley Yager, Claudia Eaton, Leslie Holliday, Blair, David, Chase and Alice; along with many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 12 noon on Saturday, September 8, 2012 at Pleasant Plains Baptist Church, Winton, with the Rev. Robert Horton officiating. Interment will be in the First Baptist Winton Church cemetery.
