Hassie Smith Johnson of Ahoskie died Thursday, January 29, 2009 at her residence.
Survivors include a son, Michael Johnson of Kelford; four daughters, Yolanda Johnson and Geraldine Cherry, both of Roxobel, Ingrid Reid of Ahoskie and Annette Vaughan of Charlotte; two brothers, Cottes Smallwood of Kelford and Robert Smallwood of Roanoke Rapids; a sister, Gladys Doris Clark of Ahoskie; 19 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 2 at Sandy Branch Baptist Church, Roxobel, with the Rev. Robert Walton officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Reynolds Funeral Home, Ahoskie, is handling the arrangements.
