Jesse Mae Fennell, 89, of Bryantville Road, Como, died Sunday, February 1, 2009 at her residence.
A native of Hertford County, she was a member and Missionary Leader at St. Paul Church of Murfreesboro. She was a retired farm worker.
Survivors include sons, Andrew Fennell of Murfreesboro, Thomas Fennell of Como, Mack Curtis Fennell of Durham, Wesley Fennell of Ahoskie and Kenneth Fennell; daughters, Janie Chamblee and Bessie Williams, both of Ahoskie, and Christine Mitchell and Irene Tyler, both of Hampton, VA; 29 grandchildren; 51 great grandchildren and 13 great-great grandchildren
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 5 at Menola First Baptist Church, Woodland, with the Rev. Melvin Ingram officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
