AHOSKIE – The tradition continues.

Ahoskie Post 102 is once again sponsoring both Junior and Senior American Legion baseball teams as 35 young men have signed up to play.

“We have young men from almost every school in the Roanoke-Chowan area plus a few from Southside Virginia,” said David Ellis, General Manager of Post 102 Baseball. “Please come out and support these young men. It’s great to see so many participating in baseball.”

The season begins on Sunday, May 19 when the Junior team meets the Senior team at 3 p.m.

Additionally, Ahoskie Post 102 will be the host for the Junior Area One Tournament. That event will be held at the HCHS baseball field from June 30 to July 3.

On Friday, June 21 (10 am – 2 pm), Post 102 Baseball will conduct its annual fundraiser. Catered by Captain Bob’s, BBQ, fried chicken, potatoes and green beans plates will be offered for a $12 donation in the parking lot of Ace Hardware in Ahoskie. To purchase advance tickets of to arrange for the delivery of 10 plates or more, contact Ellis at (252) 209-1103.
