PENDLETON – Frederick Warren Thompson, Jr., known to his family and friends as Fred, passed away peacefully on December 31, 2023, at the age of 75. He was born on October 4, 1948, in Bluefield, West Virginia to Frederick Warren Thompson and Florence Reba Laughter Thompson.

Fred had a dedicated career as an Electrician at the Power Plant, where his expertise and hard work were highly regarded. He took great pride in his profession and always strived for excellence. Outside of work, he had various interests including being a Mason, Shriner, and Eastern Star member. When his health permitted, Fred enjoyed playing chess and golf, finding solace and joy in these activities. Fred will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by all who knew him. His warm personality, dedication, and love for his family and friends will forever live on in their hearts. May he rest in peace.

Fred is survived by his loving Significant Other, Rudy Jackson, and her son, Phillip Jackson, both of the home. He is also survived by his brother, Danny Robert Thompson (Kathy) of Carencro, LA; nephew, Richard Thompson of Carencro, LA; along with other extended family members.

He was preceded in death by his father, Frederick Warren Thompson, and mother, Florence Reba Laughter Thompson.

In accordance with Mr. Fred’s wishes, the family will not be holding any services at this time.
