Traffic stop yields two arrests for drug possession

Two brothers from Petersburg, VA were arrested for drug possession following a traffic stop on Dec. 7 in Northampton County.
Northampton Sheriff’s deputies assisted the North Carolina State Highway Patrol with the stop.
Marquiece Carter-Murdock, age 21, was charged with possession with intent to manufacture, sell and deliver 1,614 grams (3.55 pounds) of marijuana, five counts of trafficking 14 grams of heroin, possession with intent to manufacture, sell and deliver 8.75 grams of heroin, possession with intent to manufacture, sell and deliver 8 grams of fentanyl, possession with intent to manufacture, sell and deliver 15.5 grams of cocaine, and carrying a concealed handgun.
He received a $50,000 secured bond.
Mitchell Murdock, age 19, was charged with one count of simple possession marijuana. He received a $500 secured bond.
Both are scheduled to appear in Northampton County Criminal District Court on Dec. 14.
