MURFREESBORO – The public is invited to a free Veterans Day spaghetti lunch.

The Hertford County African American History Coalition is hosting the event at the Murfree Center, 201 East Broad Street, Murfreesboro. The lunch will immediately follow the Town’s Veteran’s Day Ceremony, which starts at 11 a.m. on Saturday, November 11.

The free lunch will consist of spaghetti with turkey meat sauce, salad, bread, dessert, and water or lemonade. This event is to honor veterans and their families, but all are welcome.

Enjoy a photo display of area veterans, African American baseball history, and hear about other upcoming history projects by the Hertford County African American History Coalition.
