AHOSKIE – Despite rain in the forecast for Saturday, the Ahoskie Fall Fling Festival remains scheduled. However, some events have changed locations.

The 5K Run will take place beginning at 8:30 a.m. adjacent to the Ahoskie Town Hall on Main Street. There will be an awards ceremony for that event at 9:30 a.m. at the same location.

The Car Show will not be held.

The Gathering Place, located at 701 Church Street, will open as planned at 9 a.m. for the Fine Arts Show and Sale. Other activities – live music and activities for children and senior citizens – that were planned for the grounds of The Gathering Place will now be held indoors at that location.

Arts/crafts/information vendors will be moved indoors at the Hertford County High School gym. They will open for business at 10 a.m. Food vendors will open at 11 a.m. at the high school.

Live music begins at 12 noon, also at the high school.

The Teen Zone (music, games, and activities that are more appropriate for ages 12-17) will be moved indoors to the Ahoskie Youth Center and the Ahoskie Recreation Gym, both located on West Main Street.

The Comedy Show also remains scheduled. That event begins at 7 p.m. at the high school gym.
