AHOSKIE – Ridgecroft School blanked Northeast Academy, 9-0, in girls tennis action on Sept. 19.

The Lady Rams won all six of the singles matches:

#1 Belle Turner defeated Arland Davis (8-1)

#2 Kate Chamblee defeated Lena Taylor (8-4)

#3 Elizabeth Brown defeated Brianna Robinson (8-0)

#4 Sydney Jones defeated Summer Deloatch (8-1)

#5 Molly Brown defeated Ella Ricks (8-0)

#6 Karley Jo Rose defeated Mikayla Wells (8-0)

Ridgecroft also swept the three doubles matches:

#1 Turner/Chamblee defeated Davis/Taylor (8-2)

#2 E. Brown/Jones defeated Robinson/Deloatch (8-1)

#3 Annie Batts / Avery Byrum defeated Ricks/Wells (8-0)

On Sept. 21, Ridgecroft collected another 9-0 victory, this time against Lawrence Academy.

#6 Annie Batts won by walk over

Ridgecroft also swept the three doubles matches:

#2 Elizabeth Brown/Jones defeated O. Tynch/Bryant (8-3)

#3 M. Brown / Rose defeated A. Tynch / Corey (8-2)

With the two wins, Ridgecroft improved to 6-1 overall and 4-0 in conference play.
