Ridgecroft tennis wins two matches

AHOSKIE – Ridgecroft School’s tennis team improved their overall record to 4-1 with recent wins over The Oakwood School (7-2) and Cape Fear Christian Academy (6-3).

The Lady Rams won all five of the six singles matches vs. Oakwood:

#1 Belle Turner (Rcroft) defeated Emme Robmette (8-0)

#2 Kate Chamblee (Rcroft) defeated Manahil Nauman (8-6)

#3 Audrey McClung defeated Sydney Jones (Rcroft) (8-3)

#4 Molly Brown (Rcroft) defeated Harper Longshore (8-4)

#5 Karley Jo Rose (Rcroft) defeated Katelyn Limberis (8-1

#6 Annie Batts (Rcroft) defeated Taylor Evans (8-6)

Ridgecroft was victorious in two of the three doubles matches vs. Oakwood:

#1 Turner/Chamblee defeated Robmette/McClung (8-0)

#2 Brown/Rose defeated Nauman/Longshore (8-5)

#3 Limberis/Evans defeated Jones / Avery Byrum (8-6)

With the win, Ridgecroft improved to 2-1 overall and 2-0 in conference play.

Against Cape Fear Christian Academy, Ridgecroft claimed wins in four of the six singles matches:

#1 Ella John Dupree defeated Turner (6-2, 6-3)

#2 Karson Hamilton defeated Chamblee (6-3, 6-3)

#3 Jones defeated Savannah Autry (6-3, 6-4)

#4 Brown defeated Lily Kate Dupree (6-3, 6-3)

#5 Rose defeated Ella Butts (6-1, 3-0 – retired)

#6 Batts defeated Courtney Butts (6-3, 6-7 [8-10] 10-5)

In doubles action, the Lady Rams claimed two of the three matches vs. Cape Fear Christian Academy:

#1 Turner/Chamblee defeated E.J. Dupree/Hamilton (8-6)

#2 Autry/L.K. Dupree defeated Brown/Rose (8-6)

#3 Jones/Byrum defeated E. Butts/A Butts (8-6)
