LEWISTON – James Earnest Powell, Jr., 73, of Lewiston died Friday, September 1, 2023 at ECU Health Roanoke-Chowan Hospital, Ahoskie. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. on Sunday, September 10, 2023 at Mill Branch Missionary Baptist Church, Aulander. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Wilder’s Funeral Home, Rich Square, is handling the arrangements.
