Southampton County Fair slated for August 9-12

COURTLAND, VA – The 42nd annual Southampton County Fair will feature food, fun, and plenty of music.
The 2023 fair will take place Aug. 9-12 at 25374 New Market Road, Courtland, VA. Hours are 4-11 p.m. on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, and 9 a.m. until 11 p.m. on Saturday.
A four-day pass is $25. Per day tickets are $10 on Wednesday; $15 on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday (from 4 pm until closing time). Children (ages 7-12) are admitted every day for $5. Children ages 6-and-under are admitted free.
The midway area at the fair is open from 6-10 pm on Wednesday and Thursday; 5-10 pm on Friday; and 1-10 pm on Saturday.
The musical line-up on the main stage is as follows:
Wednesday (Aug. 9): Band of Oz (7 pm)
Thursday (Aug. 10): Tuesdays Gone (9 pm)
Friday (Aug. 11): Griffin Lane Band (5:30 pm), Runnin’ Shine (7:30 pm), and Drake Milligan (9 pm)
Saturday (Aug. 12): Starlett & Big John (5:30 pm), Aliex Miller (7:30 pm), and Chase McDaniel (9 pm).
