LEWISTON WOODVILLE – Two children were killed in a head-on motor vehicle accident near here Sunday afternoon.

The News-Herald is waiting on the accident report from the State Highway Patrol’s Troop A/District 2 office in Ahoskie.

Meanwhile, other media outlets are reporting that the accident took place on NC 11 just north of Lewiston Woodville. There, a Nissan passenger car and a Jeep Grand Cherokee were involved in the head-on crash. The children were passengers in the Nissan.

There were others injured in the mishap, but the extent of their injuries are unknown at this point.
