AULANDER – Sandra Faye Clark Outlaw, age 69, went to her Heavenly home on Saturday, April 1, 2023 with her daughters by her side. She was ushered into Heaven’s gates with her daughters and church family singing “Mansion over the Hilltop”.

She was the daughter of the late Sidney Thomas Clark and Betty Louise Outlaw Clark of Millennium, NC.

Sandra was a Registered Nurse by trade. She began her nursing career in 1975 as an LPN. She furthered her education at Roanoke-Chowan Community College, obtaining her Associate Degree in Nursing and becoming an RN in 1990. She served her community in many different nursing roles, including the operating room, emergency department, outpatient surgery, home infusion, and home care supervisor. Later in life, she enjoyed her role as a Certified Nurse Aide I instructor at Roanoke-Chowan Community College, where she began her nursing career.

A talented vocalist and published songwriter, Sandra shared her love for the Lord through song. She used her vocal gift to minister to others throughout her lifetime in her local community and beyond. Two of her most memorable moments were being invited to open at the National Quartet Convention in Louisville, Kentucky and co-writing the song “In Canaan’s Fair Land,” which was recorded by The Chuck Wagon Gang.

Left to cherish her memory until reunited again, her three daughters, Tonya Clark Freeman and her husband Greg of Colerain, Erika Outlaw Brabble and her husband Glenn of Colerain, and Erin Outlaw Jones and her husband Chuck of Rocky Mount; her brother, Daryl Clark; her grandchildren, Katie Blakely, Kourtney Waddell, Kerri Pinyon, Lauren Stalls, Chaise Perkins, Brett Brabble, Mackenzie Freeman, Sydney Freeman, Peyton Jones, Madison Brabble, Aidan Jones, and Reid Brabble; six great-grandchildren; her loving aunt, Ann Pearce; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
