SMITHFIELD, VA – Robert Sims Melvins, 79, of Smithfield, VA died Thursday, August 18, 2022 at Sentara Obici Hospital, Suffolk, VA. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, August 26, 2022 at Menola First Baptist Church, Woodland. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Wilder’s Funeral Home, Aulander, is handling the arrangements.
