Northampton B&E suspects sought

JACKSON – Three men from Bertie County are wanted in connection for a series of residential break-ins that occurred last month in the Conway area.
The Northampton County Sheriff’s Office has issued arrest warrants for Jalik Lassiter, age 22, and Amonzia Spivey, 21, both of Windsor, and 18-year-old Dejount’e Vinson of Kelford.
Each man is charged with three counts of felony breaking and entering, two counts of felony larceny after breaking and entering, two counts of felony possession of stolen goods, three counts of misdemeanor injury to real property, two counts of misdemeanor injury to personal property, and one count of misdemeanor injury to trees/crops/land.
Northampton Sheriff’s deputies responded on July 14 to a residential break-in outside of Conway. Two additional break-ins were reported near Conway on July 20, both prompting a response by Northampton deputies.
A suspect vehicle was identified on July 20 and later determined to be stolen. Law enforcement units from Northampton and Bertie counties chased that vehicle that day. The chase ended in Lewiston-Woodville at which time the suspects fled on foot and remain at-large.
The vehicle was seized.
Upon further investigation by Northampton Sheriff’s Sgt. W. Killian, arrest warrants were obtained on the three men.

Local law enforcement agencies are familiar with Lassiter and Spivey.
In April of last year, Lassiter was charged by the Bertie Sheriff’s Office in connection with break-ins and larceny of items from homes located on Early Station Road and Hexlena Road.
Lassiter was also charged by the Woodland Police Department in March of last year for a residential break-in and larceny in that town.
Lassiter and Spivey were arrested by the Hertford County Sheriff’s Office on March 9 of last year after fleeing on foot from a residence they had broken into on NC 561 near Tri-County Airport.
