ISLE OF PALMS, SC – On June 12, 2022, Keith Franklin Britt Sr. (Moe), a native of Conway, North Carolina, passed away peacefully in his home in Isle of Palms, South Carolina. Moe was 63 years young and a brave 6-year cancer survivor.

Moe is survived by his loving and adored wife Deborah Vinson Britt; his son, Keith Franklin Britt Jr. and wife Ashlee of Bethlehem, PA, his daughter, Ashley Lynn Britt and fiancé Darren Terry Kemp of York, PA, and his daughter, Meredith Britt Brown and husband Thomas James Brown of Fort Wayne, IN; and his treasured grandchildren, Ethan, Lyla, Reese, Noah, Bexley, Sawyer, Ellie, Remi and Layla.

Moe is predeceased by his father, Claude Harold Britt Jr. and his brother, Darrell Steven Britt Sr.

Moe is also survived by his mother, Bennie Jean Britt of Perry, GA. His surviving siblings are his brother, Garry Gene Britt Sr. and wife Anne of Warner Robins, GA; his sister, Claudine Britt Poe and husband Matthew Poe of Colington, NC; his sister-in-law, Dee Ann Britt Bailey of Warner Robins, GA; his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. James Chestine Vinson Jr. of Conway, NC; brother-in-law Joel Cola Vinson of Conway, NC; brother-in-law James Lee Vinson and husband Chris of Hollywood, FL; and many nieces, nephews, and cherished friends.

Moe lived a full and happy life. He was a 1977 graduate of Northeast Academy and received his Fire Fighter I from Roanoke Chowan Community College. He was a 5th generation farmer and received many accolades for being a Top Producer for cotton and peanuts for Northampton County. He served the Town of Conway as a Town Commissioner for 10 years and he served as the Mayor for 4 years. He served at the state level on the North Carolina Drug Task Force Roundtable during its inception. He was a 20-year veteran of the Conway Volunteer Fire Department. Moe was a dedicated member of the Conway Baptist Church, where he served for many years as a Sunday school teacher and youth leader.

Moe was born and raised in Conway, NC. He married his loving wife, Deborah, in 1979 and raised their three children on Terrace Lane in Conway, NC. After he retired from farming, he went on to follow Deborah in her career and was able to enjoy living in several different places, that includes Meridian, MS, Orange, TX, Charleston, SC, Cumberland, MD and Dothan, AL. He cherished his time spent and the friendships he developed at the Hope Cancer Retreat in Splendora, TX.

Moe was most passionate about the love for his children and grandchildren. He treasured time spent with family and friends. His hobbies included: grilling out, NASCAR races, watching football, beach trips, any excuse to entertain the neighborhood and especially quality time with his family and friends. Moe with contagious smile, was always the life of the party anywhere he went and one of his favorite mottos was “Loving life and Living large.”

He will be greatly missed by his family and friends, who will cherish his memory forever.

A life so beautifully lived deserves to be beautifully remembered. A celebration of life service will be held on Sunday, June 26, 2022 at Conway Baptist Church in Conway NC. The family will receive visitors at 1 p.m. in the church fellowship hall prior to the service, which will be held at 2 p.m.
