WOODLAND – The Menola Community Club will hold its 37th annual Soup Day from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 30 at the Menola Community Building.

Due to the ongoing impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, the club will once again this year not be serving lunch.

Quarts of soup will be sold for $9 each and homemade pimento cheese will be available in 8-ounce containers for $5 each. A Bake Sale will also be held.

Weather permitting, everything will be outside this year with drive thru pickup available.

Quarts of soup may be reserved by calling Gwen Northcott Baker (252-587-2407), Pat Burke (252-587-6461) or Susan Lewis (252-344-3941).

A raffle drawing will take place at 1 pm. Tickets for the raffle are $1 each with five chances to win. The prizes are a $100 Shell Gift Card donated by Jernigan Oil, a Gift Certificate donated by Eddie Harrell’s Auto and Sports Store, a Gift Certificate donated by The Grapevine Cafe, a Waverly queen size Quilt set, and a Christmas wreath made by Pat Burke.

Proceeds will be used for the maintenance of the Menola Community Building.
