AHOSKIE – With new faces in a few places, Hertford County High School used Wednesday evening’s pre-season scrimmage as a way to fine-tune their offensive and defensive strategies heading into next week’s start of the 2021 football season.
The Bears hosted North Pitt High School and Northeastern High School in the scrimmage, sponsored by AGI Builders.
“We are very excited about the new season,” said HCHS head coach Terrance Saxby. “We are happy to get out and compete against other teams. We had a chance to execute our plays and I thought we played well.”
Hertford County will open their football season at home on Friday, Aug. 20 when they welcome non-conference foe Gates County to Bears Stadium. Kick-off is set for 7:30 p.m.
