GREENSBORO – William Franklin “Frankie” Mitchell, of Greensboro, NC, formerly of Winton, NC, departed this life on June 2, 2021. He was preceded in death by his father, William J. Mitchell Jr.; and his mother, Celestine A. Mitchell.

Frankie is survived by his beloved wife, Arleene Conwell Mitchell; three sons, William F. Mitchell Jr. (Monique), Corey Mitchell, and Terrence Edney; daughter, Tonya Mann (Clarence); six grandchildren, Omari, X’avier, Camryn, Clay, Conwell, and Joel; sister, Toni Manning (Ira); two nephews, Ira and Mitch; one great-nephew, Christopher; one great-niece, Elizabeth; two uncles, Leroy Pierce and Dwight Drew; and many cousins and friends.

A graveside service will be held at First Baptist Church Winton Cemetery, Highway 45 South, on Saturday, June 12, 2021 at 2:30 p.m.
