MURFREESBORO – Mrs. Josephine Tyner Dunn, age 68, of Murfreesboro, answered the Heavenly Father’s solemn call from earthly labor unto sweet eternal rest on Saturday, February 27, 2021; while in the care of Duke University Hospital in Durham. Josephine was born Monday, April 14, 1952 in Northampton County to the parentage of the late Joseph Tyner and Mary Parker Tyner.

Her love shall forever remain in the hearts of: her children, the lights of her life, Jonita Dunn Taylor (Anthony) and Antonio Dunn, Sr. (Jessica); darlings of her heart, eight grandchildren, Inayiah, Jada, Anthony Maurice, Jalisa, NyAsia, Jalyn, AJ and Janiyah; her adoring mother, Mary Tyner; two loving siblings, Charles Tyner, Sr. (Betty) and Jeanette Tyner Peace (Reginald); a special aunt, Shirley Burke; three beloved nephews, Charles, Jr. and family, Candace, Trey, Caya and Charlice, Chris and RJ and family, Carly, Treyce, Julian, Carter and Jaylee; one special niece, Jenee’ (Jael); a multitude of extended family and friends who will cherish her life, ministry and legacy.

T.L. Faison’s Funeral Care, LLC., 301 Park Street in Seaboard has been entrusted with the funeral arrangements where there will be a viewing Thursday, March 4, 2021 from 3-7 p.m.

A Celebration of Life will be held 12 p.m., Friday, March 5, 2021 at Nebo Baptist Church located at 10555 US HWY 258 in Murfreesboro with Reverend James Brown delivering words of comfort. Mrs. Dunn will lie in state one hour prior to service. She will be laid to rest in the church cemetery.
