Albemarle Regional Health Services (ARHS) and its community partners are cancelling first dose Moderna vaccine clinics scheduled for Friday, January 29 in Currituck, Gates, Hertford, Pasquotank, and Perquimans counties due to anticipated wind chills.

ARHS officials said “this was a difficult decision to make but the health and safety of our staff, partners, volunteers, and community members is extremely important to us.”

Those same clinics were originally scheduled for today (Thursday) but were postponed due to widespread snow across the region earlier today.

ARHS will announce first and second dose vaccine clinics for the week of February 1-4th in its weekly news release scheduled for Friday, Jan. 29. Community members can also find the updated vaccine schedules on the ARHS Facebook page, on their website, or by calling 1-833-640-SHOT (7468). The R-C News-Herald will post the same information to its website and Facebook page.

These sources of information will be updated on Fridays with the following week’s vaccine clinic schedule.
